Transgenic Trout: Coming to a Restaurant Near You

University of Rhode Island aquaculture expert Terry Bradley has figured out how to block myostatin production in rainbow trout, producing what Popular Science writer Jerry Hsu describes as “six-pack abs and burly shoulders.”
“If the transgenic trout meet FDA approval, they could join the 1,000 trout farms that churn out about $80 million worth of trout each year.”
