How to Tie a Size 22 Parachute Adams
Tim Flagler uses Danville’s Flymaster 6/0 thread, which he favors for small flies, to tie a tiny Parachute Adams. He shares a tailing technique borrowed from Charlie Craven and shows how to use a hackle gauge to accurately measure hackle length. Flagler also says of the dubbing: “Pull only a small amount from the package. It’s very easy to overdub flies this small.”
“Despite its diminuitive size, a Parachute Adams tied on a size 22 floats remarkably well and just seems to catch fish when nothing else will.”
