“Difficult to put in words … and without a doubt better to simply experience … but there’s just something so awesome about Fly Fishing in the Winter. Not sure I can pinpoint exactly why … but, I think it’s some combination of the following: greater sense of adventure, more challenging conditions, less crowds, and for some odd reason … bigger fish on average. It’s taken me a few years to really get it all dialed in … but now that I have, I don’t suffer too much (although it’s still freezing cold and it usually takes me a day or two to get the core body temp back up 🤣).”
