Dry Fly Fishing During a Mayfly Hatch
Mayfly hatches occur in many different types of water. Long, featureless gravel runs can come alive with rising trout during mayfly hatches. The key is to recognize the subtle seams, the trout holding lies where good trout can station to feed on mayfly emergers, cripple duns and mayfly duns. Once you break down seemingly featureless water you can begin to target the excellent trout holding in these locations and then target them during mayfly hatches.
