Artist Mike Pepper

Mike Pepper (b.1954-) is a lifelong fly fisher with a lengthy history of fishing the streams and rivers of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. As a resident of both the Magic Valley and Sun Valley for more than 40 years, Mike said he feels lucky to consider the Big Wood, Silver Creek, and the Big Lost home rivers. 

“Years spent learning and fishing these incredible places in pursuit of their wonderful trout have created a passionate appreciation for the fish, and the places they inhabit,” Mike said. “I took up watercolor painting a couple of years ago as a new way to honor these beautiful fish and places, and to create unique memories of special days on the stream.” 

Pepper’s work can be viewed at the Full Moon Gallery and Idaho Troutfitters in Twin Falls, Idaho, as well as Saddletree Gallery and Lost River Outfitters in Ketchum, Idaho, and Picabo Angler in Picabo, Idaho.
