Klamath River Salmonfly Hatch

John Higley describes the munch-fest that occurs on California’s famous steelhead river every late May or early June. “That’s when the upper Klamath comes alive with the annual hatch of salmonflies (Pteronarcys californica), giant members of the stonefly family.
