Colorado Dam Slated to Fall
A “useless” dam on the South Platte River in Colorado might soon be coming down. According to reporting from Fly Lords, the Eleven Mile Dam has been abandoned since the 1990s, and currently isn’t serviced by any private or public entity.
Taking the dam down would restore river connectivity and sediment transport throughout the upper South Platte River.
