AFFTA Announces New Grant Program

The American Fly Fishing Trade Association has announced a new funding arm of the organization, The Fisheries Fund, which is focused on furthering fly fishing conservation and educational organizations and programs. Grant proposals for the fund can begin being submitted immediately.

AFFTA Announces New Grant Program for Fisheries Conservation & Education

American Fly Fishing Trade Association Develops Funding Mechanism for Fly Fishing Organizations and Projects 

Bozeman, MT: The American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) has created a funding arm dedicated to furthering fly fishing conservation and educational organizations and programs. The AFFTA Fisheries Fund is targeted at fly fishing specific issues and organizations and funding by revenue from the International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD) show. The Fisheries Fund will begin accepting grant applications immediately, with hopes of funding projects and organizations before the end of the year.

“As the industry trade organization, we are delighted to have a funding arm devoted to moving fly fishing forward… whether that is through conservation issues preserving habitat and access, or educational opportunities to inspire our young people to pick up a rod early in life,” stated AFFTA president Ben Bulis.
