MidCurrent Announces New Editor
Andrew Steketee, the former managing editor of The Flyfish Journal, contributing editor for Angling Trade, and co-author of the two highly-acclaimed fly fishing books Castwork and Tideline, has been named the new editor of MidCurrent.
In addition to his role as overall content planner and articles editor, Mr. Steketee will oversee daily news and new product coverage and edit new media products that MidCurrent will announce later this year.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andrew to MidCurrent,” said publisher Marshall Cutchin. “He is a superb editor and writer and brings a special blend of skill, nuance, and experience to this position.”
In addition to his editorial and publishing background, Mr. Steketee has spent many years working in the local online media and search marketing spaces, offering a unique perspective around fly fishing media and its potential growth online.
“I’m very excited about working with MidCurrent’s talented staff and contributors to continue the strong tradition of trusted and distinctive content,” Mr. Steketee said. “I’m also excited about helping to extend the brand’s editorial differentiation and reach. Every month MidCurrent’s influence grows, and as editor, you can’t help but be excited about the possibilities.”
