Just How Many Orvis Rods Are There on the Bottom of Lake Superior, Anway?
Paul Kosmatka of Duluth was swept into Lake Superior while fishing the mouth of the Lester River last week. Unlike the gentleman who recently refused to give up his fly rod while being rescued, Kosmatka wisely forgot about his rod when he sensed danger.
Fast forward to 6PM the next day, when Craig Juntti and a friend were trolling Rapalas through the area. Juntti reels in Kosmatka’s rod, hunts down the unfortunate fly fisher, and returns the $795 piece of gear to its owner. John Myers writes all about it in the Duluth News Tribune.
