Steelhead Numbers Down for Idaho Anglers
Current counts show only half of the normal amount of steelhead returning to Idaho rivers this season. “Most steelhead returning this year headed to the ocean in 2005, when ocean conditions were poor for young fish because of low amounts of phytoplankton and zooplankton, primary food sources.”
