CDC Pale Morning Dun
“This is a great summer dry/wet fly for fishing the western rivers PMD hatches. The soft-hackle collar has a slight amount of movement even when dead drifted on the surface to trigger strikes from selectively feeding trout. The CDC wing floats well in the pools of spring creeks and tailwaters where this species abounds. It can also be fished wet to imitate sunken crippled duns. Tie this in #18 as well to imitate the smaller species found later in the summer into early fall.”
