Capturing America’s Rivers

January 24, 2015 By: Erin Block

Photographer Ansley West Rivers has devoted the past few years to capturing America’s disappearing bodies of fresh water. Her work creates portraits that combine images of climate change, farming, industrial development and society’s constant need for fresh water. “The debate over water can only truly begin if we can connect ourselves to the rivers that sustain us,” Rivers says.
