  • Treat bamboo well and it will return the favor, writes Louis Cahill, giving tips for keeping a bamboo rod in good condition. And then trust it, he writes, and fish it hard!
  • Together with the Orvis Company, Trout Unlimited has just launched its 1,000 Miles Campaign. With the goal of opening habitat as well as stream access by removing or repairing culverts at stream crossings,  the grant-matching project has already begun in Vermont, and will move West.
  • The spotlight is on Geoff Mueller in a recent interview with Trout’s Fly Shop. From a wildfire choked west, to flats of Key West, he fishes a lot, and “Good fishing to me has an imaginative quality to it.” Mueller says, “Great fishing doesn’t necessarily mean catching bushels of fish.”
