Forgotten Coast Invitational

The first ever Forgotten Coast tarpon tagging tournament will take place June 14 & 15, put on in partnership by The Bonefish & Tarpon Trust and Dr. Jerry Ault, Director of the Tarpon and Bonefish research center.  The event, whose motto is “Camaraderie and Conservation,” will enable researchers to “work with the area’s top guides and their participating charter anglers in a group effort to safely attach tags to mature migratory tarpon.” Thirty miles of coast is expected to be covered by the field of 17 teams and 3 tagging boats, and will be the largest tagging effort of its kind.
