Klamath Dam Removal Plan Ready
With the full support of PacificCorp, who will likely raise customer rates to help pay for the costs of removal, the key players in the decision to remove four dams on the Klamath River released their proposal to the public yesterday. Jessie McKinley writes about it in The New York Times this morning. “Mr. Salazar has until March 2012 to decide whether to go forward with the plan. If approved, removal of the dams would begin in 2020.”
