“We all have spots that we’d love to catch just one fish. In our time poking around New Zealand we’ve come across some fantastic water, stunning trout, and enjoyed wonderful time on the water together. But sometimes we have incredible days but the prime trout lie of the day simply is void of trout. And some locations we fish once or twice a year, year in & out, come up empty years in a row.

This scene was shot several years ago and happened when we finally found one trout in the prime lie of a favorite spring creek. And it was a trout worth waiting for!”
