Kulik Lodge, Katmai National Park | Bristol Bay, Alaska
Kulik is one of the best-run operations in the Katmai region and offers quick access via jetboat or a short hike to the Kulik River. The Kulik is the lodge’s home water and guests here get the first shot at it every day. It ranks as one of the region’s top rainbow trout streams, a place where anglers wade in with the bears and share in the wealth of the sockeye salmon run, with each cast possibly ending with a 20 to 30-inch rainbow in the net. Short daily fly-outs with super-experienced pilots take guests to an array of quality trout streams and rivers, including Moraine, American, Little Ku, and Battle. This variety allows anglers to tailor trips to their specific desires.

All newly renovated cabins, with a few two-room options available. Tons of history: this is widely regarded as Bristol Bay’s first dedicated fly out lodge, and has set a standard for that service since the lodge opened back in 1950. Kulik has its own airstrip and fleet of planes including two Pilatus Phttps://flyfishinginternational.com/lodge/rapids-camp/?utm_campaign=midcurrent_listingC-12s that comfortably ferry anglers from Anchorage to the lodge and back. This is a well oiled operation and runs smoothly.
