Shenandoah Valley Agonizes Over River's Future
After years of hand-wringing over the worsening state of Virginia’s Shenandoah River, locals seem no closer to solving problems with the river’s degradation than they were before massive fish kills in 2004 and 2005. “‘Here in Rockingham County, every bit of land that can be farmed is being farmed, and what can’t is being developed.
