Joan Salvato Wulff Honored by National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame

At a November 7, 2015 ceremony to be held at the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago, casting legend Joan Wulff will be inducted to the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame.

Joan Salvato Wulff to be honored by National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame

Chicago, IL (October 2, 2015) – The Induction Committee of the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame (NIASHF) announced the inductees for the Class of 2015, which include The First Lady of Fly Fishing, Joan Salvato Wulff, Eight Time NHL All-Star & Member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, Mike Modano, Legendary NASCAR Perennial Contender & Winner Tom “Tiger” Pistone, Founding President of the Montreal Impact & first NIASHF International Inductee Joey Saputo and posthumously Nat Rosasco former owner of Northwestern Golf.

University of Oregon Track & Field Champion and member of the 2016 USA Olympic Team, Jenna Prandini will receive the organization’s Athlete of the Year Award.  The final award will be given to Managing Partner of Gibson’s Steakhouse, John Colletti who will be honored as the 2015 Sportsman of the Year.

This year’s induction ceremony marks the organization’s 38th Anniversary and will take place on November 7, 2015 at a dinner, emceed by Future MLB Hall of Famer Mike Piazza & New York Mets Radio Announcer Wayne Randazzo, that celebrates the organization’s traditions and culture.  The induction ceremony, chaired by Richard Parrillo Sr of United Automobile Insurance Company, Steve Lombardo of Gibson’s Steakhouse, Enrico J. Mirabelli of Beermann Pritikin Mirabelli Swerdlove LLP & Eduardo Greco of Greco & Sons, will be held at the InterContinental Hotel on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, Illinois.
