Nymphers Anonymous

It all started innocently for Jason Klass: fishing dry flies with a bamboo rod on spring creeks.   But things started to unravel for him on the day he was introduced to weighted nymphs.  At first they were only used socially and not frequently.  “But from there, it spiraled out of control until one day, I woke up in a pile of pearlescent Krystal Flash with chartreuse beads scattered all over my tying bench and no recollection of the last several hours of tying,” writes Klass.

His willpower was tested even further he was introduced to “the killer bug” by Tenkara angler Chris Stewart.  Fish can’t resist the weighted nymph, and now Klass shamefully carries a few tucked under his sakasa kebaris.
