Fish Science: From Water to Land
In a paper published in a recent issue of the journal Developmental Cell, scientists from the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, Spain have reproduced the evolutionary substrate of fish growing legs; recording limb alteration in zebra fish by gene modification. “The fossil record has a lot of strange stories to tell about the evolution of life on Earth,” writes Emily Elert on PopSci, and this research certainly expounds on one: the movement of organisms from water to land.
