Peer Review Panel on EPA Bristol Bay Assessment

The peer review panel assembling in Anchorage Alaska this week over the topic of the Pebble Mine and Bristol Bay Watershed can be watched live via webcast August 7-8, as they discuss the EPA’s assessment and review questions brought forward during the public comment period.

The peer review panel is meeting in Anchorage next week to review and discuss the scientific and technical aspects of the EPA Bristol Bay Watershed Assessment.  Anyone not attending in person can watch a live webcast of the first two days of the meeting.

August 7 link:  Peer Review Meeting Day 1 Webcast: Tuesday, August 7

This link will be active beginning at 8:30 am Alaska Daylight Time.  During the Tuesday session, approximately 120 members of the public who previously registered will make oral comments to the panel.  The meeting time has been extended to 5:30 pm to provide time to hear everyone who signed up. Versar, Inc. is contacting all registered  speakers to confirm their participation.

August 8 link:  Peer Review Meeting Day 2 Webcast: Wednesday, August 8

This link will be active beginning at 8 am Alaska Daylight Time.  During the Wednesday session, members of the public who previously registered can observe the panel’s deliberations, but there will be no public comments.

On Thursday, August 9, the panel will continue its deliberations without public observers.
