Louisiana Bow Fisher: "We Pull the Arrow Out and Hope He Swims Away"
The notion of “fair chase” seems not to apply to Louisiana gamefish. In testimony before the Louisiana state legislature, a participant in the sport of bow fishing for redfish was asked “‘What do you do if you shoot an arrow through an undersized fish?’ He thought a while and answered, ‘We pull the arrow out and hope he swims away.'” James H.
