How to Tie a Foam Cricket

Producer: Tim Flagler  |  Tightline Productions

“This small cricket pattern is, for all intents and purposes, a scaled down version of Charlie Craven’s ‘Charlie Boy Hopper,'” says tier and videographer Tim Flagler. “It’s yet another really good late summer, early fall pattern here in the northeast.”

Flagler ties the body of his cricket with strips of black 2-millimeter craft foam, using a paper cutter to cut them into 1/8 inch widths.
