“Ultimate Spot & Stalk Fly Fishing”

Producer: Fly Fish Hunter

“To me, there’s nothing better than SPOT AND STALK fly fishing to big feeding fish. Especially on the Green River below the Flaming Gorge dam in the NE corner of Utah. You spot the fish feeding, you assess the situation and make a plan, then you sneak in and make that one cast that threads the needle and connects with your target. Top water feeding rainbows and browns in shallow water are some of the hardest to catch. You have to be planful, patient, confident and able to throw a strike, or it just won’t happen. In this video, I also include a close up of the size 20 blue wing olive pattern I used to catch many fish on this trip along with a tactical breakdown of a very difficult fish and how I got him to hand. I’ve never done a tactical breakdown before so let me know what you think in the comments.”
