Tying a Hare’s Ear

May 17, 2011 By: Marshall Cutchin

Producer: Richard Strolis

“Everyone knows the Hare’s Ear, yet several tiers seem to have a variation that they prefer from the standard recipe. Fished deep in a nymph rig or as a dropper from a dry fly, the Hare’s Ear nymph is a great producer and a simple fly that can represent just about any subsurface aquatic insect.”
