“We head out to fly fish rainbow and brown trout on a mixed weather day in hopes of finding a mayfly hatch and rising trout. We face challenging conditions as the changing light causes the trout to do very different things. The impact of light on rising trout was incredible and extremely obvious. Dave digs in his heels and a serious game of patience evolves as the mayflies were light but we found a few rising rainbow and brown trout to cast small dries flies.”
