This week’s lineup runs freshwater to salt. Leading off is the Mahogany Dun from Smitty’s Monthly Fly Box, a classic mayfly dry whose slender, dark profile shines during late-summer and fall hatches when fish get selective on top. Close behind is the B+ Emerger, tied by Kyle for AvidMax, a tidy size 18 emerger for trout keyed on bugs hanging in the film. Then comes the Caddisnail Mop from The Fly Smith, a twist on the infamous Mop Fly that works a caddis-and-snail look on a size 12 to tempt trout that have already seen every other mop in the box. Rounding out the week is the Bedhead Crab, tied by Alec Gerbec for Yellow Dog Flyfishing.
