This season has been unlike anything I expected. After one of the toughest salmon seasons in recent memory, I returned to one of my favorite rivers in Iceland hoping for signs of recovery. Instead, I found schools of fresh Atlantic salmon, unforgettable moments on the water, and the longest, most intense fight of my life.
