The first day of the 2022 International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD) show in Salt Lake City, Utah, wrapped up on March 30. This was the first time in two years that the fly fishing industry gathered together to talk shop, show off new gear, and catch up with old friends. This year's IFTD saw some new gear from Orvis, Winston, and Sage, in addition to promotion...

The market for coolers is more wide-open than you'd expect, especially in the fly fishing world. While YETI certainly has the widest brand recognition, plenty of other worthwhile coolers exist. Grizzly is one such brand, and they're built right here in the U.S. of A, in Iowa. Johnny Carrol Sain reviewed their 60 quart cooler recently for Hatch...

It always makes me chuckle when mainstream publications with little connection to fly fishing publish gear guides. Enter the latest iteration from Popular Mechanics. Orvis recently announced their new Bug Out Backpack, which will be released later this month. This pack is one of the best I've ever used. I had the chance to review it in-depth for Hatch Magazine Read the review in full here.
Chad Shmukler, the guru running things over at Hatch Magazine, recently penned this piece about gear in the fly fishing market that he loves right now. It's timely, full of good recommendations, and Chad's no-B.S. approach to talking shop about gear. You can read the article in its entirety here.
YETI is out with an updated version of one of their cheaper - and more popular - coolers, the Roadie. The new Roadie 24 has 20% more room than the original Roadie, which, as the folks over at Hatch Magazine point out, translates to more room for beer. Or ice. Or, both. Regardless of what you use your coolers for, you can read the full review here.
