Kevin App was born in Newport Beach and attended college at the University of Arizona, where he learned to fly fish. Since then he has lived in (and fished his way through) Montana, Colorado, Washington, and Oregon. His fishing stories have appeared in Salmon & Steelhead Journal, American Angler, Flyfishing & Tying Journal, and Salmon Trout Steelheader. His first book, Fly Fishing the Troutless River, was released in April of 2018. He currently lives in Newberg, Oregon with his wife and children.
