How to Train a Good Fishing Dog

This article caught my attention thanks to a chat I had with John Gierach and Bob White a few years back, about fishing dogs. Specifically, we discussed – while sitting on the boat ramp on Utah’s Green River – whether the Australian shepherd standing watch in the raft launching ahead of us would make a good fishing dog.
