  • Photographer Imre Potyó spent 12 days waiting for the perfect time to capture a shot of Ephoron virgo on the Rába river in Hungary. “I was impressed by the wonderful dance of the mayflies,” Potyó says. “I was standing on the river, so me and my equipment were totally covered by the huge masses of buzzing mayflies.” View the photo via Wired.
  • Re-learn to tie your wading boot laces the right way, advises Dan Frasier, pointing to a TED talk from Terry Moore. “We were all taught to tie our shoes wrong,” writes Frasier. “With one flip of the wrist, we learned to tie the weak form of the shoe knot rather than the strong form.”
