Sugarloaf Showdown Targets Bonefish, Cuda and Permit for C&R Fundraiser

The Lower Keys Guides Association will host the Sugarloaf Showdown, which is a catch and release fishing tournament that will raise funds for the the Guides Trust Foundation. The event is set to take place at Sugarloaf Marina, Thurs.-Sat., Nov. 13 – 15, 2014.

Sugarloaf Showdown Targets Bonefish, Cuda and Permit for C&R Fundraiser

Sugarloaf Showdown, a catch & release, inshore fishing tournament will take place at Sugarloaf Marina, Thurs.-Sat., Nov. 13 – 15, 2014. The three-day event includes a silent auction with quality fishing gear and accessories that have been donated by major manufacturers.

The first tournament to be hosted by Lower Keys Guides Association, Sugarloaf Showdown is a fundraiser for the Guides Trust Foundation, which provides emergency funds for fishing guides in the Keys who have been injured or are recovering from illness.

This team event is limited to three per boat, with only two fishing. Bonefish, barracuda and permit catches will targeted and prizes awarded. The fee is $250 per 2-person team and includes a Kick-off dinner and Awards Celebration at the Sugarloaf Lodge Tiki Bar, catered by Three Fine Cooks.

Additional meal tickets are available and non-fishing participants are welcome. Advanced reservations are appreciated.
