  • Paddlefish, an ancient species that has changed little in their 70-million year history, are having trouble coexisting with modern dams constructed in their habitat at Caddo Lake on the Texas-Louisiana border. Current studies are underway to help paddlefish adapt and to make construction and dam design more fish-friendly.
