Chouinard’s “Simple Fly Fishing”

In a recent article in The Wall Street Journal, Yvon Chouinard highlights some of the principles in his book Simple Fly Fishing: Techniques for Tenkara and Rod & Reel, which focuses on beginner-friendly techniques and Tenkara-style angling. “Heaven knows we fly fishers are suckers for every new gizmo we think will give us a leg up on catching fish,” Chouinard writes in the book, published by Patagonia Books on March 31, 2014. And in contrast, Simple Fly Fishing offers a down-to-earth look at the sport.
