A new fish was discovered this week in mountain rivers of Idaho and Montana. The new species of freshwater sculpin, characterized by a distinctive large head, has been named the cedar sculpin. “It tells you how much we still don’t know about our environment and the interactions of its diverse components,” says Don Johnson, professor of fishery biology at Idaho State University.
