In a recent piece in The New York Times Chris Santella wonders about what draws anglers across the world to the steelhead rivers of the Pacific Northwest. But after a day on the Deschutes River he comes to realize the addictive allure of steelhead and embraces the culture. Knowing, he writes, “I would be returning soon.”
