US and Mexico Reach Colorado River Agreement

A pivotal agreement has been reached between the United States and Mexico regarding the Colorado River, which oftentimes dries to a trickle before reaching its delta. Rights will be purchased by the U.S. for 100,000 acre-feet of water which will ration and protect this river and restore its wetland ecosystem, reports The New York Times.
