New Wading Boots From Chota for 2013

November 16, 2012 By: Erin Block

Tennessee-based Chota Outdoor Gear has announced several new products to be released for the upcoming season. At a higher price point, the Lost Creek wading boot is crafted of synthetic materials and employs Chota’s innovative QuickLace™ System, enabling less time gearing up and more time on the water. The economic Rock Creek is made with durable RockLoc™ rubber out-soles with aggressive traction for both the trail and the river. Both of these boots are cleat-compatible and provide excellent alternatives to felt soles. They will be available mid-December, 2012.

New Lost Creek “FELT ALTERNATIVE”

Light weight and rugged, Chota’s all new Lost Creek wade and portage boot features non-absorbent synthetic materials inside and out.  Chota’s enhanced QuickLace™ System makes donning the Lost Creeks almost as easy as stepping into your favorite slippers.  One pull on the QuickLace™ , hook in, slide the barrel lock down, and you are ready to go.  The rugged molded Rock Guard and heel counter provide extra protection and added durability. Chota’s Dual Density ATX100 rubber out sole provides traction over a wide range of wading and trail conditions.  Dense rubber cleat receptacles accept Chota’s optional steel or carbide cleats for additional traction as conditions demand. Removable EVA insole and ¼” EVA Foot Bed Liner provide excellent versatility. Remove the ¼” Foot Bed Liner for increased volume to comfortably accommodate sock foot waders, or leave the Foot Bed Liner in for wet wading. Micro screen drains and full tongue gusset allows for rapid drainage while blocking scree.

New ROCK CREEK Wading Boot “FELT ALTERNATIVE”

Combining Chota’s famous RockLoc™ rubber out-soles with synthetic leather uppers, the Rock Creek Wading Boot provides an economical alternative to felt-soled wading boots. Specially compounded “soft rubber” air bobs and built in cleat receptacles make for an aggressive, high-traction sole that works well in a wide variety of trail and wading conditions.  Chota’s  STL350 Steel Cleats (pack of 28 included) make the Rock Creek one of the most versatile wading boots available.  The Rock Creek will also accept Chota’s optional carbide-tipped cleats.  A padded cuff and buttonhole drains, coupled with a cushy injected PU mid-sole, provide high-end comfort at a low-end price.
