RIO In-Touch Series Fly LineCiting the need among stillwater anglers for a non-stretch-core sinking line, RIO has just introduced their “In-Touch” series of freshwater lines.  The lines feature a new “ConnectCore,” which the company says enables those fishing lakes and ponds to be more in touch with what is happening beneath the surface.

“In addition to the ConnectCore, a distinctive ‘hang marker’ is built into the fly line approximately 13 feet from the front end. This hang marker is highly visible, easy to feel and shows anglers when the sinking line is coming to the end of the retrieve.”

The lines will go on sale September 1, 2012 for a retail price of $74.95.

(Idaho Falls, Idaho) – RIO Products, manufacturer of fly lines, leaders and tippet material, is pleased to bring stillwater anglers the latest in advanced sinking line technology with the new, award-winning “In-Touch” series. Packed with innovative solutions for the stillwater angler, these lines are not only easy to cast but will help anglers catch more fish.

“After winning the EFTTEX Best New Fly Line award earlier this summer for the In-Touch series, we couldn’t be more thrilled,” notes RIO Marketing Manager, Simon Gawesworth. “At RIO, our goal is to make fly lines that help anglers catch more fish, and the In-Touch series is a perfect example of us accomplishing that goal.”

Two completely new technologies make the “In-Touch” series the must-have sinking fly line for all lake anglers. Each line is built with RIO’s new and unique non-stretch “ConnectCore”, which produces a fly line with virtually no stretch. When fishing with sinking lines, anglers rely on touch to know what’s going on in the depths, and when touch is so important, line stretch is the enemy. RIO’s new ConnectCore full-sinking lines open up new worlds of perception and sensitivity with no-stretch performance. Soft, subtle takes become positive grabs, and without line stretch to slow reaction times, hook sets are lightning-fast, instant and sure.

In addition to the ConnectCore, a distinctive “hang marker” is built into the fly line approximately 13 feet from the front end. This hang marker is highly visible, easy to feel and shows anglers when the sinking line is coming to the end of the retrieve. This aids anglers when fishing the “hang” and eliminates the frustration of stripping the sinking line in too close to cast.

Welded loops found on the front end of the lines complement these new technologies, allowing anglers to change leaders quickly and efficiently. A totally new taper design also creates a powerful head that loads the rod from the first cast. All of these features can be found in the new In-Touch Lake Series of sinking lines, in Deep 3, Deep 5, Deep 6 and Deep 7 densities as of September 1, 2012 for a retail price of $74.95 from any RIO dealer.
