Townsend Troutfest
The Little River Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host its annual “Troutfest” on May 19 & 20, 2012. The event is unique in that all of the proceeds will go towards the Great Smoky Mountain National Park Fisheries Department, making it the only event to solely benefit a national park, according to organizers. Along with supporting a good cause, the event list for the festival is quite impressive, featuring legends Bob Clouser and Lefty Kreh. Also giving a presentation is Jason Borger, who was a casting advisor for “A River Runs Through It,” to commemorate the twenty year anniversary of that film.
Admission to the Exposition will be free. A banquet and auction will be held Friday May 18 at 6pm. Tickets for that event are $50.
