Best Early Season in Years?

There certainly is a bright side to one of the mildest winters in recent memory: phenomenal early season fishing.  Kirk Webb of The Aspen Times goes as far to say that this will be one of the best springs in Colorado in quite some time.  “Needless to say, we’re expecting to see one of best caddis hatches this spring under low and clear water conditions,” writes Webb.

There is, of course, a downside to the early season.  For instance, in Pennsylvania anglers are preparing for low water levels.  Shop owner Louis Herfurth had this to say:  “This is summer low. A dry summer low. The Delaware River and Susquehanna River are very low.  At least three feet low”
