Jed Fiebelkorn: From Hockey to Trout

Jed Fiebelkorn was once a professional hockey player but gave up the hockey stick for one  of another variety when he moved to Montana and began guiding.  His daily guiding gig eventually earned him a new fly-fishing position: host of Trout Unlimited’s “On the Rise.”

The show, filmed all across the United States, including two shows filmed in the 49th and one in the 50th, “follows the wanderings of Montana outfitter and bona fide fishing bum, Jed Fiebelkorn, as he traverses the country in search of trout, salmon, steelhead and kindred souls.”  Erin Mooney, communications director for TU’s Eastern Conservation, sat down with Jed to talk about the show.
