Tippets: Interview with IGFA Record Holder Robert Cunningham, Waders Bring Cancer Ease, Detroit Steelhead
- Mobile, Alabama attorney Robert Cunningham is on a quest to obtain as many IGFA records as possible. Recently, Jeff Weakley of Florida Sportsman got a chance to talk with Cunningham about the quest and an upcoming trip to Homosassa, Florida.
- Craig Nemchik’s health coach told him to wear whatever would put him at ease when he was due in the doctor’s office for cancer treatments. Naturally, the Pennsylvania angler wore his waders. “She asked me to visualize myself when I am feeling my best,” Nemchik says. “For me that was easy: I’m fishing.”
- Many Detroit anglers drive over the Clinton River on the way to the famous Great Lakes tributaries unknowingly driving over a pretty good steelhead fishery in the process. Thanks to the Clean Water Act, Michigan DNR, and TU, among other factors, the fishery’s future is bright.
