Mousing Everywhere

No form of “fly” fishing is as shrouded in mystery and allure as fishing with a mouse pattern.  Perhaps it’s because of the massive fish that have been taken with a mouse pattern, or because it is mostly done at night, but it seems like everyone who’s heard of fishing with a big water-pushing mouse pattern wants to try it.

And it is not that hard, writes Kent Klewein, of Gink and Gasoline.  A few years ago, Klewein got fed up and decided to devote all of the days he was not guiding to mouse patterns.  For anglers who might get a shot with a mouse pattern once a year, he boils down his “mousing binge” to 13 tips and tricks.
