Why Spey Cast?
From “spey rods are only about casting to far” to “spey casters just like to stand around and talk about their gear,” surely the self-proclaimed spey geeks at Deneki Outdoors have heard it all. But there more reasons than aesthetic appeal to use a spey or switch rod. Besides being easier on the shoulder and not requiring a backcast, spey casting makes for exponentially easier mending. Also, much like a perfectly fluid golf swing, a dead-on spey cast just feels good.
