Upcoming Fly-Fishing Books

  • Flies for Western Super Hatches, by Jim Schollmeyer and Ted Leeson, will be released on January 1, 2012.  The book is a comprehensive guide to trout food in the rivers and streams of the West.  Both Ted Leeson and Jim Schollmeyer are authors of numerous books including previous collaborations such as The Fly Tier’s Benchside Reference and The Benchside Introduction to Fly Tying.
  • Fly Fishing for Sea-Run Cutthroat, by Chester Allen, is set to be released on January 1, 2012.  The book, illustrated by Dave Hallcovers everything from finding the perfect spot on the beach to descriptions of the baitfish, crustaceans, and marine worms that cutthroats eat.  Chester Allen has worked for daily newspapers for 17 years including a period as the outdoor editor for The Olympian.
  • Fly-Casting Fundamentals, by Lefty Kreh, will be released on January 1, 2012.  The book will explain specific casts as well accuracy, distance and control, among other topics.  Lefty Kreh is a legendary fly-fishing advocate and author of numerous books and magazine columns.
