Tippets: Hockey and Fly-Fishing, “Infallible” Beer, Oregon’s Wildlife Google Map
- Because hockey’s most popular markets are close to great trout and salmon fisheries, it makes sense that quite a few hockey players are avid fly-fishermen. When not playing for the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, Willie Mitchell enjoys fly-in trips from his Vancouver Island home. Jim Lorentz began fly-fishing when playing for the Buffalo Sabres and continues to fish and remain active in the fly-fishing community during retirement.
- “Infallible:” A North Yorkshire brewery has teamed up with a local environmental trust to revitalize River Ure, a local river.
- Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife just released a Google map for wildlife viewing map. Click on pins throughout the map to see views from various platforms and overlooks. (via Mark Freeman)
